We are delighted to be returning to Edgbaston Stadium for Connections for Prosperity 2025 – the conference for how we shape an ‘even’ better West Midlands for all. Tickets are now on sale and so is the first glimpse of our conference programme!
#CFP25 is the Centre for the New Midlands’ Annual Conference and will bring together 300 of the West Midlands’ key stakeholders including business and community leaders, politicians, policymakers and academics to discuss and debate the biggest challenges and opportunities facing the region.
Key themes will include housing, devolution, the digital environment, transport, infrastructure, the skills agenda and crucially, the focus is solely on how we build an even ‘better’ West Midlands region for all.
As the only not for profit, non partisan and independent think tank for the West Midlands, we can we can ask the questions that others can’t. We can set the agenda for discussion in such a way that others may find difficult to do. Make sure you book your place to join us in July!
Here are the first of our confirmed speakers for the event! Richard Parker (Mayor of the West Midlands) will be the guest speaker for the opening session of our conference. Richard’s session will be hosted as a fireside chat and will explore his first year as Mayor of the West Midlands and ambitions for the future.
The afternoon will then commence with a discussion (“Improving lives and services – the challenges and opportunities for local government”) featuring the three most senior executives from across the region’s metro cities: Dr Julie Nugent (Chief Executive, Coventry City Council), Joanne Roney CBE (Managing Director, Birmingham City Council) and Tim Johnson (Chief Executive, City of Wolverhampton Council). Plenty more speakers to follow!!

We have just 300 tickets available for this conference – THE policy conference for the West Midlands region. Make sure you book your tickets today and be part of the region’s conversation.
