Event Details

We are delighted to invite our Reimagining the Region members to join the Centre for the New Midlands for our Housing and Communities Annual Lecture 2023, to be delivered by Lisa Nandy MP (Shadow Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing, Communities and Local Government and Member of Parliament for Wigan).

This invitation only event will be held from 11:00 – 13:30 on Friday 16th June at Witton Lodge Community Association (Perry Common Community Hall, 87 Witton Lodge Road, Birmingham, B23 5JD).

Lisa will provide insights on what the priorities would be for Housing and Communities should the Labour Party form the next Government and our guests will also have the opportunity to ask questions. Dr Halima Sacranie (Chair, Housing and Communities Board, Centre for the New Midlands) will also present the findings of the Centre’s recent roundtable on how we deliver Affordable Housing across the West Midlands. The full report can be downloaded here. Following the talk, our guests are invited to join us for a buffet lunch and networking.

If your organisation is not yet a member of our network, please visit our membership pages to join.  Annual rates start from £400 + VAT – we look forward to welcoming you.  Should you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact chris@thenewmidlands.org.uk
