Megan Cooper

Having spent the past 10 years in a number of Senior Business Development spanning Employability and Skills, Adult Social Care and Private Health, Megan has a strong People and Skills focus and addressing how economic growth can be achieved through putting people at the centre of what we do.

Megan’s work has ranged from delivering tenders for the Department of Work and Pensions, Department of Education, Ministry of Justice, NHS and Local Authorities working on bids which cut across employability, skills, youth and justice, health services and developing proposals for adult social care transformation. Her work includes securing the contract to deliver DWP Restart programme in the West Midlands which supports people who have been unemployed for nine months or longer look for, and secure, meaningful work.  Prior to moving into business development, Megan spent eleven years in recruitment spanning customer services, finance, accounting, PR, marketing and comms.

Outside of work, Megan is Group Secretary for a local Scouts group, and a firm believer in their vision of creating “Skills for Life”.  Megan and her family have an online family presence as Fishing Family UK, encouraging families and young people to get outdoors fishing and support the Angling Trust campaign of “Get Into Fishing”.

Having lived and worked in the West Midlands for twenty years, Megan is passionate about the region and its continued prosperity.
