George Kearney-Bambridge is CEO of Envision, with a background rooted in widening access and social mobility. She began her career at The Access Project, a social mobility charity focused on under-represented young people before moving into higher education outreach at Aston University. Joining Envision in 2019, she progressed from Regional Manager through senior leadership to CEO.
Envision is a national charity working across Birmingham, the Black Country, Bristol and London. Its programme partners young people from less-advantaged backgrounds with trained staff and volunteer mentors to design and deliver social action projects that create real change in their schools and communities. In doing so, young people build four essential skills – communication, creativity, determination and teamwork – that are proven to improve employability outcomes and that employers consistently say they need but too rarely find in young recruits entering the workforce.
